Zlatopil municipality is located in the central part of Kharkiv region. The distance from Zlatopil to the district centre, Lozova, is 62 km; to the regional centre, Kharkiv — 86 km; and to the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv — 580 km.

Overall, the territory of Zlatopil municipality is compact. Its flat landscape, moderate continental climate, and fertile black soils create favorable conditions for agricultural development. This enables cooperative links with surrounding municipalities for food storage and processing. An advantage of its location is the availability of direct railway and road connections to the regional centre and other cities. Thus, the geographic position of Zlatopil municipality is well-suited for sustainable economic activity and serves as an urban centre of attraction for nearby rural municipalities.
