Uman is located in the center of Ukraine. The city is known for the famous National Arboretum "Sofiyivka" of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, one of the best parks in Europe. Uman is a centre of pilgrimage for Bratslav Hasidim - an average of about 35,000 people visit them every year.
