Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Hlyboka municipality, located in Chernivtsi region along the Siret River, occupies a strategic cross-border position within the Chernivtsi–Siret–Suceava triangle, serving as a logistics bridge between Ukraine and the EU.
The municipality features high-capacity transit links, including direct access to the M19 (E85) highway, proximity to the Porubne–Siret and Krasnoilsk–Vikovu de Sus border checkpoints, and the Vadul-Siret railway junction, which is actively expanding its freight capacity into Romania.
The economic profile combines eco-friendly agriculture, river recreation, and logistics. The municipality offers two high-readiness investment plots: Plot No. 1 (11.5 ha) next to the rail/customs post for a dry port or logistics hub, and Plot No. 2 (11.6 ha) near the highway to the Krasnoilsk checkpoint for industrial use.
The municipality has strong institutional readiness, proven experience in administering international donor funds, and active partnership ties with Romanian cities (including Siret) for joint EU-funded cross-border projects.
