Burshtyn municipality, situated in Ivano-Frankivsk region, occupies a dynamic and highly strategic territory in the floodplain valley of the Hnyla Lypa River. Established in October 2020, the municipality spans 203.6 square kilometres and encompasses the historic city of Burshtyn alongside 18 localities organised into 10 starosta districts, supporting a resilient total population of approximately 24,800 residents. The municipality's transport logistics are anchored by the national highway N-09 (Mukachevo–Ivano-Frankivsk–Rohatyn–Lviv), which ensures rapid transit to major western Ukrainian regional centres and European Union border crossings.
The economic and ecological profile of the municipality is uniquely defined by the Burshtyn reservoir, a massive 12-square-kilometre body of water that offers exceptional strategic potential for water sports, hospitality, and large-scale eco-tourism, alongside local scenic destinations like "Kosova Gora". To drive modern industrial growth, the local administration is actively developing the designated "Burshtyn" Industrial Park, providing a high-readiness, pre-mapped land asset specifically tailored for relocated enterprises, manufacturing facilities, and new commercial investments.
For international donors, development agencies, and private investors, Burshtyn municipality presents a highly capable, transparent, and institutionally supportive platform uniquely positioned for public-private partnerships focused on industrial zone development, green utility modernisation, and sustainable recreational infrastructure.
