Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Chornomorsk municipality is located on the Black Sea coast in Odesa region, near the regional centre of Odesa and major international transport corridors. The municipality is home to one of Ukraine’s key seaports, which plays an important role in national and international logistics, trade, and export activities.
The local economy is based on maritime services, logistics, trade, industry, construction, and small and medium-sized enterprises. Despite the challenges caused by the war, the municipality continues to implement projects aimed at increasing energy efficiency, strengthening critical infrastructure, improving water security, and enhancing climate resilience.
Chornomorsk actively cooperates with international organisations and development partners, has experience in project implementation, and is committed to sustainable development principles.
