Irkliiv municipality, located in the central part of Cherkasy region, benefits from a moderately continental climate and a strategically advantageous geographical position that drives its economic growth.
Situated in the fertile forest-steppe zone, the municipality possesses distinct competitive advantages based on its extensive natural resources. Its rich chernozem soils support intensive agricultural production, including grains, vegetables, fruits, and livestock. Furthermore, the municipality's abundant water bodies offer strong potential for irrigation and the development of fisheries.
Environmental sustainability is a core asset of the territory. The municipality includes 16 nature reserve areas and objects covering a total of 2,483.2 hectares, including two sites of national significance spanning 2,163.8 hectares. This clean environment and picturesque landscape provide high potential for organic farming, eco-tourism, and recreational infrastructure.
The municipality currently operates 116 economic infrastructure facilities, such as shops, pharmacies, and cafes, meeting the basic needs of local residents. To further enhance economic activity and create new jobs, the local administration is actively seeking partnerships to develop small and medium-sized businesses, expand eco-friendly production, and attract investment into its tourism sector.
