Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Krasnopillia municipality, spanning 972.1 square kilometers in Sumy region, functions as a critical border territory that includes 43 localities and shares an 84-kilometer border with the russian federation. The municipality possesses rich natural assets, managing over 64,500 hectares of agricultural land, nearly 35,000 hectares of forests, and multiple protected historical-cultural sites. While its economic foundation is traditionally rooted in crop production and livestock farming, the municipality has successfully diversified into forestry, freshwater fish farming, and the manufacturing of construction materials. Furthermore, its industrial capacity is bolstered by refractory materials manufacturing, highlighted by key local enterprises like LLC “Mykhailivski Vochnetryvy”.
