Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Netishyn municipality, located on the border of Khmelnytskyi and Rivne regions along the Horyn River, serves as a major energy hub in western Ukraine. The municipality is situated in a stable rear area and benefits from established logistics, including proximity to major motorways and the local Kryvin railway station.
The Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant forms the backbone of the local economy, providing stable tax revenues, a solid municipal budget, and the financial capacity to co-finance international development projects. Outside of energy production, the local economy is supported by construction, trade, and the service sector.
The local council operates under a structured Development Strategy running until 2027 and utilizes digital governance tools, including a central administrative service centre (One-Stop Shop). Current municipal priorities focus on green transition initiatives, the modernisation of utility networks, upgrades to educational and medical facilities, and the establishment of waste recycling partnerships. This financial and structural stability makes the municipality a direct, low-risk partner for international donors and technical assistance programmes.
