Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Novoselytsia municipality, situated on the left bank of the Prut River, comprises one city and 14 surrounding settlements. The municipality serves as a strategic logistical hub, crossed by the national H-10 and H-03 highways and positioned within 20 to 60 kilometres of three key border crossing points into Romania and Moldova.
The local economy is driven by a strong agricultural sector with approximately 30 active farming enterprises, alongside an industrial base focused on food processing and construction materials. Backed by a commercial network of over 130 retail establishments and a major local market, the area maintains stable cross-border trade and economic activity.
Since 2007, the local council has demonstrated high institutional capacity, securing 12 international cooperation agreements through active participation in cross-border development programmes. For international organisations and European donors, this well-connected municipality offers an experienced, transparent platform for projects targeting transport infrastructure, utility modernisation, and regional economic integration.
