Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Olhynka settlement territorial municipality, located in Volnovakha district of the Donetsk region within the steppe zone of the Pryazovska Upland, features a highly developed agricultural base. Approximately 85% of its total agricultural area consists of arable land, where fertile black earth (chernozem) and a moderately continental climate support the cultivation of grain crops and sunflowers.
The region possesses substantial mineral wealth, notably containing deposits of flux limestone and kaolin suitable for the production of construction materials. Prior to the full-scale invasion, the municipality's industrial sector was anchored by two major budget-forming enterprises: the Velykoanadolskyi Refractory Plant and the Novotroitske Ore Mining Administration (NTRU), which stood as Ukraine's largest producer of ISO-compliant flux-dolomite products for international export.
Additionally, the territory hosts the Velykoanadolskyi Forest, a unique 2,543-hectare artificial forest massif that serves as a vital ecological and recreational landmark containing over 600 plant species. Although currently under occupation, the local administration maintains a clear focus on the post-de-occupation recovery of its industrial, agro-industrial, and tourism sectors. For international organisations, development agencies, and recovery donors, this resource-rich municipality represents an essential platform for future economic rehabilitation and industrial modernisation.
