Additional peculiarities of the municipality:

Trostianets municipality is located in the southern part of Sumy region, at the intersection of important regional transport routes connecting central and eastern Ukraine. The municipality combines urban and rural areas and serves as a local centre for public services, healthcare, education, and economic activity. Despite significant damage caused by the russian occupation in 2022, Trostianets has become a recognised example of recovery and resilience. The municipality actively cooperates with international donors, development agencies, and partner cities, successfully implementing projects in infrastructure rehabilitation, healthcare, education, energy efficiency, and social services.

The municipality offers attractive opportunities for investors and international partners through its strong institutional capacity, experience in project implementation, availability of investment-ready infrastructure projects, and commitment to sustainable development. Priority areas include renewable energy, healthcare modernisation, housing and social infrastructure reconstruction, water and wastewater systems, tourism development, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises. Trostianets is also known for its rich cultural heritage, including the historic Kruhlyi Dvir and Koenig Estate, as well as its natural recreational areas. These assets create additional potential for tourism, cultural initiatives, and international cooperation. The municipality’s strategic vision focuses on building a resilient, energy-efficient, inclusive, and economically competitive municipality that contributes to Ukraine’s recovery and European integration.
