Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Kyrylivka municipality is a famous seaside area located on the northern coast of the Azov Sea. Before the war, it was one of Ukraine's top holiday resorts, welcoming up to 2 million tourists every year for its beautiful beaches and therapeutic muds. Though the entire municipality has been under temporary occupation since 2022, the local council has relocated and continues to work hard for its people from afar.
The area's economy traditionally relied on tourism, fishing, and farming, backed by a rich history of 45 archaeological sites. Looking ahead, the relocated administration is actively preparing for post-war recovery and wants to team up with international partners for the sustainable reconstruction and modernisation of the area as soon as it is liberated.
