Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Located in the central-eastern part of Luhansk region, the Stanytsia Luhanska municipality has significant natural resources, recreational, and agricultural potential despite its temporary occupation. Forest land covers 46.8% of the territory, which boasts eight nature conservation sites and a portion of the European Emerald Network along the Siverskyi Donets River Valley. The area has substantial agricultural potential with over 18.2 thousand hectares of farming land, traditionally specialising in grains, sunflowers, and locally branded vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers. Additionally, its considerable mineral resources, including natural gas condensate, hard coal, germanium, construction sand, and mineral waters, offer strong opportunities for the extractive and processing industries. Looking ahead to de-occupation, the municipality represents a vital zone for future recovery, inviting international partners to collaborate on comprehensive infrastructure reconstruction, sustainable development, and environmental management projects.
