Nova Basan municipality is situated on the border of the Chernihiv and Kyiv regions, positioned directly on the H-07 highway. This strategic location provides the municipality with direct logistics links and straightforward transport access to the capital.
The local economy relies primarily on a strong agricultural base with rich land resources suitable for food processing and cultivation. Following significant war damage, the local leadership has developed high institutional capacity and a clear track record in transparent grant management, working alongside international organisations to drive community recovery.
Current municipal priorities focus on civil protection infrastructure, including the construction of bomb shelters and mine safety programmes, alongside the creation of multi-service social hubs ("Third Place" facilities) centred on community support. For international donors and green investors, this resilient municipality offers a secure, audited platform for projects targeting utility modernisation, rural social infrastructure, and transparent reconstruction.
