Additional peculiarities of the municipality:
Orikhiv municipality, located in Zaporizhzhia region, historically served as a vital regional logistics hub and an established agricultural centre. The municipality possesses highly fertile agricultural land and strategic transport connections, providing strong foundational potential for post-war recovery in farming, food processing, and renewable energy deployment.
Since 2022, this frontline territory has been severely impacted by intense, active hostilities, resulting in catastrophic widespread destruction of its residential housing, basic utility networks, roads, schools, and healthcare infrastructure. Despite these ongoing security and operational crises, the local administration is actively developing comprehensive recovery portfolios and planning future reconstruction initiatives.
Current municipal priorities are focused on urgent stabilization, temporary civil protection, and preparing long-term engineering designs for resilient infrastructure solutions. For international organisations, humanitarian donors, and development agencies, this resilient frontline municipality represents a critical partner for targeted emergency aid, utility modernisation, and transparent post-war reconstruction.
