Korostyshiv municipality, located in the Zhytomyr region, has a massive logistical advantage because it sits right on the M-06 Kyiv–Chop international highway. This means it has super fast transport links to both Kyiv, which is just 108 km away, and the European Union border.
The local economy is completely built around stone. Because the area is packed with natural granite deposits, it is famous as Ukraine's "Land of Sculptors" and is a major hub for granite extraction, stone processing, and building materials.
