The territory of the municipality is located on the border of Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions on the Zhovta River (a tributary of the Inhulets, the Dnieper River basin), 401 km from Kyiv, 136 km west of the regional centre (Dnipro), 66.7 km north of Kryvyi Rih and 22 km from the Pyatikhatky railway junction. The municipality includes the city of Zhovti Vody (the centre of the municipality) and 3 villages. The infrastructure of the municipality is represented by medical, educational, cultural and sports institutions, social service institutions, a network of banking institutions, industrial and municipal enterprises, and private businesses. There are vacant land plots and real estate objects on the territory of the municipality. A favourable geographical location and developed infrastructure contribute to cooperation with foreign and domestic investors. The municipality has experience in such cooperation.
